SERFAC SERFAC is an India based, International Organization that focuses Children on issues related to Children and Family that is Committed to Building and Promoting Stable Marriages, Nurturing Children and Fostering Healthy Family Life.

Origin: SERFAC was Founded by Dr. Catherine Bernard in 1983 as a response to the persistent requests from participants of the First International Congress on the Family "Family at the Service in Human Life" held in Chennai, India.

After much consultation, services, site visits, and detailed study of ground reality in several Asian countries SERFAC was formally Inaugurated during the First World Congress "Family and Culture" on November 1, 1986 in Chennai, India.

SERFAC is a Registered Society in Tamil Nadu in 1987. Since its origin SERFAC has pioneered the work on Family at various levels and within a span of 5 years gained International reputation for its outstanding contributions by various National and International Organizations.


serfac In December 1998 SERFAC was granted SPECIAL CONSULTATIVE STATUS by the ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL OF THE UNITED NATIONS (ECOSOC), NEW YORK.

SERFAC is a professional, education, training, service and research organization committed to revitalizing the fabric of the society through its Family oriented programmes.
